If you sent a comment that hasn’t posted yet or an email to my blog mail account, I’m not ignoring you. My website host is experiencing trouble w/their email servers. Naturally, all of my email is working except for the blog one. Actually, it’s working, I just can’t access it.
I can’t complain too much. I’ve had very little trouble w/my hosting company. Shit happens. And if this is the worst that ever happens, I’ll be sittin’ pretty.
*And while I was typing this it came back up – heeheee*
I was all ready to review my resolutions for 2005 till I discovered I never posted them. Or maybe I did just not all together. So, I’m thinking, what were my goals again?
With the break up, having to move twice, and the death of my father, the year started out on a sad note. I was also troubled about the lack of direction my life was taking. I’d put things on hold for an unhealthy LTR and was left scrambling to pick up the pieces. So where am I now compared to a year ago? I managed to shake myself out of my malaise and “get busy”, thats where I am. *g*

I’m moody today. Don’t ask me why, things are going fine at the moment.
I’m ‘fiddlin’ w/the blog a bit this week. Just some cosmetic changes. Large Tony gave me the idea for the pic links. I wanted to do circles but they just didn’t look right. I’m sure I’ll make more changes over the coming week but nothing overly exciting.
For those of you who read my OTHER blog, I’m folding it this week. I’m not really keeping up w/it as much as I should. I might bring it back in a new format to test WP2 but I’m not overly motivated right now. Of course, not having any free time might have something to do w/the lack of posts.
I get a lot of private emails regarding my posts. I’m never sure if I’m expected to respond so if I haven’t responded to your emails, I’m not ignoring you.
My gym schedule has really improved this month. Having they extra time for a change has helped. And having switched back to Gold’s to workout, I’m a lot happier. Gold’s just has more equipment geared towards muscle-building. Crunch was fine but they focus more on staying healthy and weight loss.
Thanks everyone for “feeling my pain” w/the ongoing DMV drama. And yes, there are a lot of deadbeat government employees. However, being someone who works for “the man”, there are a lot of really hard working employees too.
So I go back today to DMV today. Miss Manners is there along w/the person in charge of the testing program. I get up to the counter expecting everything to go smoothly. WRONG! Apparently, my live scan form wasn’t on an official DMV copy. It was a copy of the original form but not the original copy. Of course, in DMV speak that is just blasphemy! I think Miss Manners had a small stroke when she saw my paperwork. Without saying a word, she takes my paperwork and walks away. Four phone calls later she comes back, and accepts my form. Add 30 more minutes for processing time and I’M FINALLY FUCKING DONE!
I have my EMT certificate, my license notation, and my live scan paperwork showing I’m not a convicted felon. I’m now ready to start looking for my part time gig as an EMT. Thank the stars!
As if I didn’t have enough drama today, I get home to discover my building is on fire! Some idiot put their christmas tree out on their balcony and then someone caught the damn thing on fire.
I get home and the fire trucks are all around my building, I call work and they tell me what’s up. It’s 4 floors below me! Luckily enough, the sprinkler activated and put it out before the fire dept even showed up. People are so stupid. Why in god’s name would you put your christmas tree out on your balcony?
Today, has had it’s difficulties. I go to the DMV today to take my ambulance driver’s test. (written) I check in, get my number, sit down and begin to wait. I wait, and wait, and wait. Finally 2 hours go by, I stop by the desk to see what the hold up is. It is at this point I encounter Queen bitch of the universe.

Holy Cow! I’ve heard of grumbling about Starbucks but this is ri-god-damn-diculous!
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) (full story) – Police defused an explosive device found in the bathroom of a Starbucks on Monday. No one was injured.
Authorities were called around 1:15 p.m., after an employee reported finding something suspicious in the store’s bathroom. About 100 people were evacuated from the store and apartments above it, and the street was closed to traffic, said Sgt. Neville Gittens.
“This was a good device. If it had exploded, it would have caused injuries or damage,” said Gittens, who would not describe its size.
Once the device was disabled at about 2:10 p.m., police allowed people back into the apartment building and reopened the street. The store, located at a busy city intersection, remained closed Monday evening while authorities investigated.
That’s just ignunt. Don’t they know for everyone you close, 6 more pop up!
Today, I thought I’d give some shout-outs to my peeps in the blogosphere. (yeah, I know, stick to the hick accent) Or more simply, a nod to the blogs that have enriched my life over the past year.

A big thanks to Large Tony for his new pic link to my blog. The new link has quadrupled the number clicks from his site to mine. – Thanks T! If you don’t read Tony, you are missing a great blog. Tony makes no apologies for being a southern boy w/a big heart as well as a big schlong. Tony combines sweet innocence, raw sex appeal, a naughty but nice nature, and genuine sincerity into a powerfully attractive as well as erotic blog. You might start readin’ for the sex appeal but you’ll stay for so much more.
I discovered brettcajun completely by mistake. I was looking up some cajun recipes and landed on his blog. Being half cajun myself, I was immediately hooked. Brett is going thru a transition in his life right now and so far making a bang up job of it. His style of wit and cajun charm are not to be missed. (And being the devlishly sexy cajun he is, his occasional sexploits are scandalous too.)
On a sadder note (yes I know it’s not good grammar), one of my more recent blog additions, Bent Collective is dealing w/the recent passing of his mother. If you have a moment, please stop by and offer some kind words/thoughts for Steve. His loss, while not unexpected, marks the end of a difficult chapter. Besides being down right hunky, Steve’s blog offers up an insightful articulate read that serves to stimulate the mind as well as the soul. His approach is very similar to mine in that we both speak from a “skip the bull-shit” mentality.
And a local blog buddy, roblog has had his share of tragedy in the past year as well. Rob lost his ex-partner to AIDS just a few months back. It would take me too long to go into the incredible amount of love, honor, and compassion he showed thru the whole ordeal. Currently, he is trying to heal and move on with his life. Saying I admire and respect Rob doesn’t even come close. Rob represents the type of man I hope to be someday. And by that, I mean living life w/integrity as well as passion. (He thinks I’m a bit over the top w/my adorations. But we all need role models right? Why not a real every day guy?)
*And on a side rant, if you think AIDS is no longer a terminal illness, I suggest you take a read back thru Rob’s blog. This illness is still killing thousands and thousands of our loved one’s every year. Pointing fingers and blame or simply avoiding it is not the answer. Education and understanding are the keys to beating this awful destructive illness.*
Another local buddy, v-hold is going thru the pains/tribulations of adopting a child. And! All their hard work is about to pay off. Being someone who hopes to adopt a child within the next 5-7 years of my life, I’ve really been following his updates. Course, I never read for the parties, video games, tidbits, etc. No, I wouldn’t find any of that exciting. lol Add to that he is sexy as hell (and so is his partner) and equipped w/a great sense of humor.
And last but certainly not least, we come to homer. His blog makes for a fascinating read. Between his latest archeological dig and his occasional take on politics, homer is a down-to-Earth (literally), well-rounded, kind-hearted fellow. Mix in a little humor, plenty of pictures, some random craziness and you end up w/a very informative and entertaining blog. Besides that, he is incredibly nice guy w/a great fuzzy smile.
Of course, no tribute would be complete w/o mention of my first blog buddy, Smitty. The ever insightful and handsome Dunner, and the buff and brainy Johnny just to name a few. And if you didn’t get a special mention, don’t go and get offended on me. If I link to you it’s because I read your blog. Maybe not everyday but I read you. Even those of you who haven’t updated in quite some time. *hint hint*
Red Alert! Geek post ahead.
OMG! The new seasons of Stargate, Atlantis, and Battlestar Galactica are fragging fantastic! Having a nice warm body snuggled up next to me I’m sure had no bearing on my comfort level. hehehe
On Stargate:SG-1, when they found a way to trap the Pryer I was on the edge of my seat. And BG was hot hot hot w/the pending civil war between Galactica and the Pegasus. Oooooyeeeeh! I can’t wait till next Friday.
Wow, everyone chopping at the bit for details. hehehe
My date sleepover went very well. Very well indeed. (What you think old tramp like me wouldn’t get some too?..phffftt!) hehehe. Seriously, NM is a sweet guy and I enjoy hanging out w/him. Besides being fun in the sack (yeah, that’s all you’re getting), he is also very thoughtful. His smile lights up his face when he laughs and you know what a sucker I am for a great smile. More importantly, he ‘gets’ me. That’s really the best way I can explain it. We seem to have similar mental processes which is kinda cool.
Where do we go from here you ask? Well, I’m not looking to repeat my mistakes of the past so no abrupt changes anytime soon. I think we’ll keep seeing each other but my life, while not overly complicated, is quite tied up w/my schedule for at least 6 more months. I’m enjoying the extra attention while I can. For a change, I seem to be the focus which is odd for me. While I love attention, I typically make the other person feel like they are the focus. I like the role reversal for a change.
Abruptly changing topics, I got a call from the ex today. Apparently, someone broke into their new place and stole all their jewelry and computers. I helped him w/what to do to get a police report, etc. The really depressing part is they stole a Tiffiany’s bracelet I gave him for a 2nd Christmas together. I was sorta sad about that. Not my problem anymore though.
Oh, and NM is coming over tonight to watch the new season of Stargate SG1 & Atlantis w/me. He gets brownie points for putting up w/my scifi habit.
