Offline

It took some effort to write this out.

I will be offline for a bit. I was either sideswiped or cut off by a car [1]I don’t really remember for sure today and crashed my bike. I have a fractured collar bone, multiple contusions, abrasions, etc.

I’m banged up but home from the hospital and enjoying the bliss of modern pharmacology. I expect to make a full recovery with time.

I managed to upload a quick photo via twitter today and the support has been overwhelming.

Adam was kind enough to come over and nurse-maid me tonight.

I’ll try to write more when I can.

  1. best wishes bud… I was very worried when I read and saw all that… I just started to learn how to control my bike today and now I am worried… as my mom has said in the past, just cuz the horse kicks ya you don’t stop riding 🙂 and so yeah… I will say this now and watch for updates…. GET WELL SOON!!!!

  2. Yikes. This is precisely why I am scared of motorcycles. Well, look on the brightside, you are going to get LOTS of sympathy sex now. BIG HUG.

  3. Broken collarbones suck and hurt, I broke this as a kid by fly over the handlebars of my dirt bike (peddling in flip flops, not a good idea). Use your buddies to help you out around the house and such, put them to work . Exploit the comment Brett wrote about the sympathy sex..hehehe.
Take care and heal up fast!

  4. arrggghh…positive healing energy from me to you handsome. so sorry for the experience and the pain. thinking of you and wishing you a speedy recovery. you still look sexy in this pic, though!

  5. Jeesh! I hope you mend and heal quickly! Sorry to hear your bike was crushed – I’m sure that hurts in a very special way too. Get to feeling better Moby!!! =-)

  6. Wish you a speedy recovery. I guess the scratch from the other day doesn’t matter anymore 😀

    Just glad you’re alright!

  7. Oh hey, depending on the condition of your bike, it seems like a good time to start dreaming of getting that new bike you wanted! Just a thought!

  8. Sorry to hear that happened! Driving around SF is a dicey proposition indeed! Hopefully the meds are working. Let me know if you need anything.

  9. Don’t ride a bike anymore. It’s just a matter of time before a person gets hurt. You will look good behind the wheel of a tank.

  10. Oh honey, I’m late to this party and just discovered you’ve been hit! Lots of love and (gentle) hugs coming at you from Phoenix!

(See? If I’d come to SF as originally planned you would’ve been unavailable anyway!)

    xxoo
