I’m starting a new workout routine. I’ve been meaning to do it for a while now but kept putting it off. I figure if I don’t, I’m never gonna adjust to my new schedule. I admit it, I’m a tad lazy when it comes to getting motivated in the mornings. It is the least productive part of my day. Ugh! I’m not overweight [1]Btw, my before shot. Be warned it might NSFW but I decided as one of my New Year’s resolutions to see how lean I could get. No time like the present to get crackin’. I got the dentist aka braces goal on track so time to move on to #2.
I figure it is time to use some of my own advice and put myself on a routine and a workout schedule. Writing down goals and tracking them greatly increases your success rate. Such a simple thing and yet so many don’t do it. I’m gonna try to get my BMI (body mass index) done this week. Then I’ll post my current stats vs my projected goals. I’m giving myself 6 months. A tad long for my lean goal however, on my schedule I am building in space for errors (aka laziness).
Anyone wanna join me? I’ll give you the steps.
- Start off with a before pic. [2]That means no clothes or clad enough to see all your flaws. Oh yes!
- Find or create a routine/schedule that works w/your goal and life. You should plan for at least 3 days a week. Try to be realistic.
- Post your current stats and your goal stats.
- Weekly or monthly updates on your progress.
See, that doesn’t sound so painful hard.

Unless you were sucking in, you don’t look like you need to get leaner. I would do a before pic, but I am not about to let my gut hang out for the worldwide web.
I did my before pic 2.5 weeks ago. I don’t think it’s something I want to share, it’s a little scary. Two days to the gym this week, consistency, as the expert says.
Holy crap, your legs are awesome.
Join gyminee with me!!
that “before” shot blows most “after” shots right off the page.
i may join you. i have a shoulder injury being worked on this friday, but they tell me i should be able to work out in the next week.
i could do my before picture now, or my before-before picture from the fall. (yipes)
Sorry for the extra comment here, but I think to get an accurate idea of a before shot, we should see the back side too…; )
Very tempting, but I don’t want to scare anybody.
Well, let me just say that most of us probably would be happy if our after shot looked as good as your before shot. But yeah, I can see how you would want to lower your body fat some. Someone commented that your legs were awesome. I’d have to disagree. I think your upper body shows much more muscle mass in proportion to your legs. I know, you probably already know this, but the REAL trick is to lower your body fat without losing the muscle mass. And the older you get, the more difficult that is to do. Less testosterone production. (you may want to check out a book entitled “The Testosterone Advantage”. Can’t remember the author’s name. Anyway, I applaud you for taking it all “public” so to speak. Good luck.
Help me out here….do I see one black yummy boot on and one off? It’s hard to tell from the pic.
This is what i needed to kick me in the ass… I have pudged up the last couple months, so I had jeff take my pic…ughhh… so I am joining you… I will post my pic and my goals… thanks for the kick in the arse, and I will hopefully post a pic in a leather jock the future…
Damn I’m so fat. I’d never be able to score a hot, leather-clad guy like you.
Fuck. Time to get to the gym…
