What Happened?

I’ve gotten some requests as of late for more of my old journal entries. I’ve cut back a bit on the heavy stuff. I’ve covered quite a bit of ground in the last couple of months and I think I still need time to assimilate all of it. I’m not too terribly introverted so I think I need more time than most to let it ‘sink in’.

I am rarely at a loss for words so you’ll just have to be content w/my jibberish for awhile. Besides, with the pending blogger arrivals, I’m sure to have at least one scandal to post. brettcajun is all nervous. Wait till he finds out how boring my life really is. He’ll be like “WTF was I thinking?”

And speaking of the blogger meeting, if you are local (or going to be local) this coming weekend and wanna meet the crew now’s your chance. I’m trying to schedule a big lunch before the housewarming on Saturday to give everyone a chance to meet. How does that sound? If you want in, leave a comment or email and I’ll post the details as they develop.

  1. Moby – I left your phone number at home and it’s not on my cell phone. I’m in Eureka, Nevada tonight and tomorrow we work our way up to Reno looking for ghost towns along the way. The phone reception is bad so please leave a message on my cell or email including your phone number. Thanks – Jeff

  2. Moby–

Of course you already know I am there. I was wondering what we were going to do to keep Mr. Brett occupied. Of course I already know what I’d like to do, but that’s not so public. Hehehe!

  3. Oh, I am sure you’ll be quite the interesting individual. A BJ will always be VERY interesting and entertaining in my book! 😉

  4. Although I won’t be there in person I will be in spirit. Have a good time.

This event should be good for a few stories I imagine.

  5. Though I would love to attend, I do not know if it fits in with my training ride schedule, I’m doing a double this weekend which means a ride on both Saturday & Sunday.. Have fun!

  6. I assume you want to do lunch in the Castro. If you want something a little different, I think the Cliff House accepts reservations (Saturday is always crowded everywhere in The City). If casual Mexican sounds good, that place on Church near the Pilsner is good. The good Chinese restaurant closed, but the remaining one isn’t terrible. There are also a couple of good pasta places on Market between 16th & 17th. Of course, the further out from the Castro you go, the less crowded the restaurants will be. And, believe it or not, there is actually a good restaurant on Pier 39, but it’s a little pricey. A lot depends on the time of day you want to eat. I like that Mexican restaurant down near the Eagle, but I think they open late (I can always check).

  7. Hey Moby, I almost forgot. I just caught the end of the story, but I heard San Francisco had a big earthquake yesterday. It must have been really bad, because all they could show were black & white pictures.

  8. Yeah, the Castro area is the focus since most of the events going on over the weekend are in the area. Cliffhouse, while fun, is WAY too far as most folks will also be on foot. Not really planning anything overly formal. We might decend upon Harveys, Cove, Capri, Catch, or one of the Thai places. I’d recommend sushi but I doubt everyone will be into that as it is an acquired taste.

As for the earthquake joke, haha!

  9. I look forward to seeing you this evening boo! 🙂 Thanks so much for letting me stay at your place. I appreciate it! I can’t wait to meet you!

  10. Plans changed again. Leaving Reno this morning and should be arriving Bay Area around noon. Will text you when I arrive.
